Risk Management
More Info
Certain medical conditions increase your risk of coronary heart disease which can lead to heart attacks.
These conditions are called risk factors and include diabetes mellitus, hypertension, high cholesterol, and obesity.
Our team offers to screen for these conditions and will come up with a treatment plan to ensure you achieve control of these risk factors.
We have a group of Internal Medicine specialists with training and many years of experience in the management of these chronic diseases.
Our nephrologist treats patients with chronic kidney disease, kidney requiring dialysis and a wide range of kidney diseases.

Cardiology
More Info
Our Cardiology Team will see a wide range of heart-related complaints including chest pains, palpitations, and shortness of breath.
We can diagnose and manage patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, valve disease, arrhythmias, and congenital heart disease.

Pulmonology
More Info
We evaluate patients with respiratory symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath and chest pain.
Our team can diagnose and treat various chronic respiratory disorders such as asthma, chronic obstructive lung diseases and sleep apnea.

ECG
More Info
This is a simple test that collects information about the electrical activity of the heart.
An ECG is used to detect heart rhythm problems and can also detect if you have had a previous heart attack.
This test takes about 10 minutes to perform.

Echocardiogram
More Info
This is an ultrasound of the heart and gives information on how well the heart contracts(pumps) called the ejection fraction; identifies if you had a previous heart attack; looks at the structure and function of the heart valves and identifies other structural abnormalities such as congenital heart disease.
This test takes about 30 minutes to perform.

Holter
More Info
This test is similar to an ECG but for a prolonged period.
It involves placing a monitor on your chest to record your heart’s electrical activity for 24 to 48 hours.
It is requested for investigation of palpitations, dizziness, and syncope (fainting).
It can also identify causes of fast and slow heart rhythms.

Spirometry (Lung Function test)
More Info
Spirometry is a breathing test that is requested by your doctor to evaluate respiratory symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, or cough.
It measures how much air you can breathe in and out of your lungs and how easily and fast you can blow the air out of your lungs.
It enables the doctor to diagnose conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive lung disease, guides treatment, and aids with monitoring your progress.

Stress Test
More Info
This test is recommended for evaluation of chest pain and shortness of breath to identify whether it could be caused by blocked arteries.
It involves walking on a treadmill for a specified period while connected to a cardiac monitor.
If the patient has significant coronary artery disease (blockages in the arteries supplying the heart), then in most cases there would be changes on the ECG or patient would experience chest pain or shortness of breath.
The overall test takes about 20 minutes.
Please inform us of all medications you use since we usually stop beta-blockers 2 days prior to testing. On the day of the test please wear comfortable clothes and footwear to walk on a treadmill.
